EIU Mail: Powered By Zimbra
Over the next couple of months ITS will be introducing a new e-mail system to campus. We will be moving e-mail services from the Solaris platform to a Macintosh platform. The new Enterprise E-Mail software is called Zimbra and the goal is to have this process completed by mid July 2006. Below you will see some of the end-user benefits. We will be providing further information and training for technical support staff within the next few weeks.

Working With Zimbra
If you are using an e-mail program to check your PantherMail, you will probably not need to change any of your e-mail settings. The migration should be transparent. If you are accustomed to using the webmail interface, you will notice a major change in the interface. The new Zimbra e-mail system offers a substantial number of new features, most of which you can take advantage of by using the web interface at http://www.eiu.edu/panthermail
